STG is looking for a Lead DNS Systems Administrator to support the Regional Cyber Center - Conus (RCC-C). Duties will include:

  • Act as senior DNS Systems Administrator (DBA)/Team Lead within the Regional Cyber Center – CONUS (RCC-C)

  • Analyze, troubleshoot and isolate complex network hardware and software problems using Infoblox, Windows, and UNIX operating systems in support of the Army Enterprise Protected Domain Name System (EP-DNS)

  • Perform Architectural troubleshooting of the Army EP-DNS Enterprise System and other technical issues in support of the DNS mission

  • Provide recommendations to customers for rapid restoration of services. Administrator should have an understanding of TCP/IP and the IP address scheme. DNSSEC(DNS Security Extensions) would be a plus

  • Provide written and oral communication within a team structure and operate as an individual under some supervision

  • Monitor the health of information systems and apply corrective action as required

  • Modify hardware and software configurations as mission and resource allocation requirements dictate

  • Perform DNS server maintenance, on all DNS Servers as needed. Updates and processes all network, domain, user and ASN templates at the NIC

Minimum Qualifications:

  • HS +6 or AA/AS + 4 or BA/BS +2 IT experience/ education

  • IAT II certification required (GSEC, Security+, SCNP, SSCP)

  • DNSSEC training workshop (FedVTE) or other training/certifications per the requirements list w/in 180 days.

  • Excellent team skills, must be thorough, must have excellent communications skills, written and verbal

  • Knowledge of networking concepts across the LAN/WAN

  • Knowledge of Linux/UNIX family operating systems

  • Demonstrate initiative and be results oriented with flexibility and tenacity

  • Demonstrate the ability to continuously adjust priorities to reflect changing circumstances

  • Ability to work in a dynamic cross-organizational team environment

  • Strong dedication to provide quality customer service

  • Effective problem-solving skills and inherent decision-making ability

  • Strong analytical skills including the ability to quickly identify the cause of issues with the system or determine if other teams need to be included in resolving an issue

  • Ability to manage own projects including communications to customers as well as work as part of a larger team managed by a project manager

  • Willing to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as necessary
