STG, Inc. has an immediate opportunity as a Windows Active Directory (AD) Services Administrator located in Ft. Huachuca, AZ! This position will support the Regional Cyber Center – CONUS (RCC-C) as part of the AD Team, with a focus on the operation of AD domain controllers that provide DNS and authentication to CONUS Army users.


  • Be a self-motivated AD Services administrator able to provide enterprise support for the Army in a fast paced and demanding environment

  • Build and configure Windows-based systems and services in support of highly visible mission areas

  • Proactively and efficiently administer AD Services using enterprise toolsets such as Change Auditor, Advanced Group Policy Management (AGPM), and System Center Operations Manager

  • Install, maintain, and configure computer software

  • Implement operating system enhancements that will improve the reliability and performance of the system

  • Implement common preventive maintenance practices for hardware and software

  • Effectively troubleshoot complex technical issues

  • Document technical troubleshooting efforts

  • Create documentation including standard operating procedures, system inventories, and configuration baselines

  • Focused on customer service and mission accomplishment

  • Provide updates and record relevant work details in IT service management (ITSM) ticketing system

  • Ensure AD configurations are compliant with organizational, Army, and DOD regulations

  • Participate in rotational on-call duties to provide after-hours support


  • HS + 4 years of IT experience, AA/AS + 2 years, or BA/BS

  • To include up to 3+ years Windows Active Directory Service experience

  • IAT II certification required at hire (Security + or equivalent CE)

  • MCP 70-410 (or higher), within 6 months of hire

  • Proficiency with Windows AD services

  • Experience operating in physical and virtual machine/client environments

  • Ability to effectively troubleshoot complex technical issues

  • Ability to research and develop creative solutions to unique problems

  • Knowledge of network and security concepts as related to virtual private networks and public key infrastructure

  • Ability to create and/or modify scripts (batch, PowerShell)

  • Ability to document technical troubleshooting efforts

  • Familiarity with McAfee Host Based Security System (HBSS)

  • Familiarity with Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS)

  • Knowledge of DISA STIGs and IAVAs

  • Be able to effectively communicate in both oral and written forms with team members, customers, and management

  • Work independently and as a team member; set priorities, and organize work to meet deadlines

  • Willing to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as necessary
