Business Info Consultant

Responsible for serving as an expert in data analysis, SQL, data intake/transformation and formulating recommendations and providing guidance to other data analysts. Analyzes data and summarizes performance using available SQL tools and summary statistical procedures. Develops

and analyzes business performance analyses and reports (e.g. for claims data, provider data, utilization data) and prepares data for HEDIS

and HEDIS-like reporting purposes.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

Supporting production project deliverables to intake, transform and load HEDIS supplemental data for Commercial, HIX, Medicare & Medicaid plans by deadlines set

by NCQA and our auditors.

Supporting production supplemental data deliverables to support the production and submission of monthly HEDIS reports for Commercial, HIX, Medicare and Medicaid plans.

Supporting production project deliverables to produce and submit Gaps in Care and other clinical reporting as required.

Responsible for supporting data impact analysis on all supplemental data sources received and processed through to the HEDIS repositories.

Support the work to complete the HEDIS roadmap Section 5's pertaining to supplemental data sources.

Creates and publishes periodic reports, as well as any necessary ad hoc reports.

Requires a BS/BA degree in related field; minimum of 5- 7 years or more experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Experience with relational databases and knowledge of query tools and statistical software is required.

Ability to manipulate large sets of data.

Data analysis and reporting encompasses a much higher level of complexity that requires strong analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills.

Healthcare experience is required and managed care is preferred.

Data analysis experience within healthcare is required.

Experience with HEDIS reporting or other health plan clinical measure quality reporting is required.

Excel is required,

SQL is required.

Knowledge of EDWard and transactional source systems is preferred.
