_ Job Summary_

The Enhanced Medium Altitude Reconnaissance and Surveillance System (EMARSS)-M Field Service Representative (FSR) is a highly experienced subject matter expert on all systems on the EMARSS-M aircraft. FSRs provide leadership and direction during aircraft reconfiguration operations, provide training to Airborne Sensor Operators (ASO)s as required to maintain proficiency, and work with other CONUS/OCONUS support elements and US Army and US government personnel to ensure the highest levels of sensor availability and mission completion.

This sub family is responsible for providing consulting oversight and integration support of existing hardware, software, network configurations and new system initiatives for all sites within area of responsibility. Duties may include providing remote and site support services as well as assisting in the development on procedural changes.

_ Primary Responsibilities_

-Responsible for ensuring the continuous operation of EMARSS-M Mission Equipment Payloads (MEP) which includes the COMINT systems, SIGINT systems, MX-15 imagery systems, and all associated components.

-Responsible for identifying priorities and assignment of associated tasks involving scheduled maintenance of MEP.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications

-Requires a Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of prior relevant experience or a Masters with 6+ years of prior relevant experience; additional years of experience are allowed, in lieu of a degree.

-Requires extensive knowledge of IT network and MEP systems on the ISR asset and ground systems architecture.

-This candidate should have a strong IT background to include experience with networking, software, hardware, and virtual network environments and troubleshooting.

-Requires Expert Knowledge of and ability to apply advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts to network and avionics mission systems

-Must have Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance

-Prior experience on Beyond Line of Site (BLOS) SATCOM Networks

-Must have a high level of computer knowledge (i.e. Windows IP config)

-Troubleshooting skills with experience using relevant test equipment

  • DoD 8570 Compliant IAT Level II (ability to gain certification within 6 months)

Preferred Qualifications

-Prior Experience on EMARRS-M platform

-Knowledge of the Wescam MX-15 HDi; complete understanding of the operation and functions of the MX-15; removal/troubleshooting and install of the MX-15; strong knowledge of PICTE software, settings and functions

-Strong understanding of: CDU 7000, KG-175 Encryptor Unit, PRC-117G, ARC-231, MCAP Intercommunication system, COMSEC, VHF/UHF, GPS systems to include INS, IMU, IRU, and DGPS, Embedded GPS INS (EGI), Blue Force Tracker 2.0

-Strong understanding of: block, physical, and logical diagrams

-Strong understanding of: SATCOM systems, FTP, routers, switches, ground sampling distance, flight line operations, Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE)

  • Strong understanding of DoDI 8510.01 (Risk Management Framework)
